In May 2018, ASCF rolled out with a brand new initiative at The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJ) in New Brunswick, NJ. “ASCF’s Caring Card Cart” This cart is stocked with assorted All Occasion cards and stamps. The cart is kept in the Resource Room and also brought upstairs to rooms where patients and caregivers sometimes aren’t able to leave. Child Life Specialists have expressed their appreciation to a much needed distraction for the patients and their caregivers, while also adding some normalcy to mail out cards to the special people in their lives.
